Archbishop Hebda encourages men to prayerfully consider joining the Knights. Read his letter here...
Knights come from every stage of life, in countless corners of the world. Join them as they celebrate real role models in a world that needs men who lead, serve, protect, and defend.
Since 1882, membership in the Knights of Columbus has been open to men 18 years of age or older, who are "practical" (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See. Since that time, the Knights of Columbus have understood "practical catholic" to mean a Catholic who accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.
We are men who lead, serve, protect, and defend, whether we are giving out Coats for Kids, lending a hand in disaster relief efforts, supporting local pregnancy centers by donating ultrasound machines or providing top-quality financial products. Find out more about what we do.

Founded on the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled, and needy members and their families.

The goal of this program is to involve young Catholics in grades 8 to 12 (public, private, parochial, or home schools during the current school year) in civic discourse and instill in them religious and life-affirming values.
Entrants will be judged on style, grammar, and how clearly they present the theme in a way that showcases creativity, imagination, and overall development of the topic.

How can the Church evangelize in the digital age?
In Biblical times, the only way to “carry” good news was to bring it physically, walking from one place to another. Technological advances, however, have opened up numerous additional communication channels, all of which we can use to amplify the rate at which we spread the Word. – Romans 10:14-15

The Shakopee Knights of Columbus participate in a “Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities” where they offer tootsie rolls to everyone after they exit Mass one weekend in April.
